If you would like to receive software update emails and release notifications, please subscribe to our .

SquareWorks Consulting automatically deploys our application updates into your account after each to ensure you're always running the latest version of our software. Updates may include new features, bug fixes and/or security patches to ensure your account remains secure and up to date. No action is needed within your account to complete the updates unless otherwise notified.

NetSuite also releases two major upgrades annually, and SquareWorks Consulting will ensure our software remains compatible with your latest version of NetSuite. The following steps outline the process for preparing for software updates from NetSuite:

  1. Prepare Release Preview Account

NetSuite provides you access to a release preview account. This account is a replica of your production account. Work with your NetSuite administrator to update all SquareWorks software using SuiteBundler and/or the SuiteApp Store.

  1. Receive SquareWorks Regression Testing Email

In order to ensure the compatibility of software with NetSuite's bi-annual updates, SquareWorks conducts regression testing ahead of each NetSuite release. Prior to NetSuite's production account upgrade, SquareWorks will send an email confirmation to known software contacts confirming successful regression testing. This email is sent ahead of the first NetSuite production upgrade (NetSuite Upgrade Phase 1). Refer to our for the latest features, changes and fixes included and update your release preview account as needed.

  1. Perform Internal Release Preview Testing

As part of the implementation process, you will receive a comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plan to aid in the testing of our software within your own account. SquareWorks does not have access to your NetSuite account and therefore is not able to rule out compatibility issues with your data or other customizations. While our regression testing will catch issues within a generic installation of our software, it’s best practice to perform your own internal testing. This may be a requirement to meet your own internal audit controls.

  1. Perform Upgrades

Ahead of your planned NetSuite upgrade, SquareWorks will automatically update all managed software as needed to ensure compatibility with the new NetSuite version. No action is necessary on your part to perform the upgrade. No access to your NetSuite account is necessary for the update.

For non-managed software, updates must be performed by your NetSuite administrator using SuiteBundler. If SquareWorks has been granted Administrator access to your account, we can update non-managed software upon request.

DO NOT UNINSTALL BUNDLES Doing so will lose data that cannot be recovered from your NetSuite account!

Upon , our software may be updated at any time outside of the bi-annual upgrade cycle. For non-managed bundles, they may be updated at any time by your NetSuite administrator.

In order to upgrade a non-managed bundle, log into NetSuite with an Administrator role. Go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List. Find the bundle from the list, press the green icon to the left, and select Update. Once the update preview page loads, leave all settings as-is and press Update Bundle.
