Abstract

Advanced Document Management helps administrators simplify how files are managed in NetSuite by offering a dedicated SuiteApp to automate file organization, version control, and overall document handling. It’s designed to replace outdated processes and seamlessly integrate with NetSuite to improve control over documents and attachments. An example use case would be automatically handling large volumes of vendor invoices to keep them properly stored, streamlined, and easily retrievable.

Introduction to Advanced Document Management

Advanced Document Management is a SuiteApp that centralizes document handling within NetSuite, making file storage and retrieval more efficient. Although some setup steps may look similar to instructions found on GitHub, be aware that portions of those GitHub guides are outdated. While you may still find relevant references to AWS or other elements, you should rely on these instructions for the most accurate initial installation steps.

Initial Installation

Before installing, make sure you are logged in as an Administrator in your NetSuite account to perform the bundle installation. You may see some steps already completed in your environment if you’ve partially installed or updated Advanced Document Management before.

1. Begin the installation process by going to the Customization menu, hovering over SuiteBundler, and selecting Search & Install Bundles within your NetSuite account:

   

2. To locate the specific SuiteApp, enter 289838 in the KEYWORDS field within the Search and Install Bundles page. Proceed by clicking the Search button to search for the product:

   

3. Next, a bundle will appear after searching for the keywords. To review the bundle details, click the bundle (e.g., SQW Automate: Document Management) link to open a screen with its details:

4. Once you’re ready to install the bundle, click the Install button:

   

   A confirmation prompt appears, and then choose OK to proceed with the installation:

   

5. Once you see a preview page, make sure to review the bundle components within the Preview Bundle Install page, then finalize by clicking the Install Bundle button:

   

6. Finally, to confirm that Advanced Document Management is installed, hover over the Setup menu to see the Advanced Attachments option, confirming that the SuiteApp is ready to use:
